I grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia, a place that will always be home.

My interest in photography began in high school but quickly faded. More than a decade later, the photography bug came back, and this time it stuck. Since then, I've spent countless hours learning, practicing, and refining my craft while continuing to grow both creatively and technically.

While I enjoy photographing nature, wildlife, and portraits, sports photography has become my true passion. There is nothing quite like capturing the intensity of competition, the emotion of victory, and the moments that athletes and families will remember for years to come.

Whether I'm on the sidelines of a local game, photographing a senior portrait, or capturing a special event, my goal is always the same: to create images that tell a story and preserve memories that last a lifetime.

In the fall of 2022, a parent from our local high school football boosters asked if I would photograph a few games with a focus on the senior players. Without hesitation, I said yes. Within a week, I decided to photograph at least one event for every fall sport.

As the fall season came to a close, students began asking if I would cover winter sports as well. That simple request grew into a commitment to photograph every sport at least once each year, giving every student athlete an opportunity to be in front of the camera.

Through Canner Sports Photos, every image is made available as a free download because these memories belong to the athletes, their families, and our community.
